What this site collects, why, who it goes to, and how to get it deleted.

The short version. This site has no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. It does not set cookies. It stores a few things in your own browser so the arcade can remember who you are and save your games, and it only ever receives personal information you actually type into a form.
Zach Tory Studios — a recording, mixing and mastering studio in Tempe, Arizona, operating zachtorystudios.com. We are the data controller for everything described here.
The booking form, the contact form and the free-checklist download are the only places this site asks you for personal information. Depending on the form, that is your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message box. We use it to reply to you, to arrange sessions, and to send the file you asked for. We do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed further down, who process it on our behalf.
If you download the Protect Your Release checklist, we keep the email address you gave us so we know who requested it and so we can help if the download failed. The form says no spam, ever and that is a commitment: we will not add you to a marketing list from that download alone. You can ask us to delete the address at any time and we will.
The arcade is optional and you can play every game without an account. If you do sign in, you choose a 3-letter tag, a 4-digit PIN and, if you want, a nickname. Here is exactly what happens to each:
| What | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| 3-letter tag | Stored on our server and shown publicly on the leaderboard. That is the point of it. |
| 4-digit PIN | Never leaves your device. It is combined with your tag in your browser to produce an account id, and only that id is sent to us. We never receive, store or see your PIN. |
| Nickname | Stored on our server and shown publicly on the leaderboard. Optional — leave it blank and only your tag shows. |
| Scores and coins | Stored on our server against your account id, and shown publicly on the leaderboard. |
| Chat messages | If you use the arcade chat, your message, tag and nickname are stored on our server for 6 hours and then deleted automatically. |
| Device token | A random string your browser creates. It stops somebody else moving coins on your account. It is not linked to anything about you. |
We do not ask for your real name, your age, your email or anything else to play. Pick a tag that is not your legal name and the arcade knows nothing identifying about you.
Instead of cookies, the site uses your browser's local storage. This stays on your own device, is never transmitted anywhere by us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. It is used for:
zts-arcade-profile,
zts-arcade-tag, zts-arcade-nick).zts-arcade-device,
zts-arcade-bank).All of it is functional. None of it tracks you between sites, and none of it is readable by anyone but you and the page you are on.
The typefaces on this site are hosted on our own server. Most sites load their fonts from Google, which means every visitor's IP address reaches Google before they have agreed to anything, on every page. Ours do not — no third party is contacted to render this page. The only outside services that ever receive anything are the ones in the table below, and each is doing a job you asked for.
We use a small number of outside services. Each one is listed with what it actually receives:
| Service | What it gets, and why |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts our arcade server. Receives your account id, tag, nickname, scores and coins, plus the technical connection data any web server sees, including your IP address. |
| Formspree | Delivers form submissions to our inbox. Receives whatever you typed into the contact, booking or checklist form. |
| Square | Powers the appointment booking widget on the booking page. If you book through it, Square receives the details you enter under its own privacy policy. |
| Dropbox | Stores files sent through the Mix & Master upload page. Receives the audio you upload plus the name, email, song details and notes you type on that form. Your browser never talks to Dropbox directly — the files go to our own server, which passes them on. |
| Discord | Only on the Redline page, and only if you allow it on the notice banner. It fetches a public count of who is in our voice channel; the request reveals your IP address to Discord. Decline and the page never contacts them. |
Links to Instagram, TikTok, equipment manufacturers and retailers are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click through, at which point their own policies apply.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and to stop using it. If you are in the UK or EU, that is your right under the UK GDPR and GDPR; if you are in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the same access and deletion rights, plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Email Inthemixmesa@gmail.com and we will action it. For an arcade account, tell us the tag — you will not be asked for your PIN, and nobody from us will ever ask you for it.
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The arcade deliberately asks for no personal information at all. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. The arcade's 4-digit PIN is a convenience lock, not real security — it exists so somebody cannot casually play under your tag, and it is stored in your own browser. Please do not reuse a PIN or password that matters to you elsewhere, and do not put anything sensitive into a nickname or a chat message, because both are public.
Arcade coins have no cash value, cannot be bought, cannot be exchanged for money and exist only inside these games. The arcade is free to play and there is nothing in it to buy. Any prize is a promotion run by Zach Tory Studios and is not a bet against us or anybody else.
Players can put coins on the line against each other in an online match. Those coins do not count toward the monthly prize — the wall ranks on coins earned by playing, so a match cannot buy anyone a better shot at the studio hour. The full terms are in the Arcade Rules.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be flagged on the site.
