Top-down 8-bit racing against a clock that never stops. Four circuits, eight cars that genuinely drive differently, and a countdown you can only buy back at the gates. Five modes: race the clock, race the pack, slide every corner in DRIFT, lap alone in PRACTICE, or take a four-race TOURNAMENT on randomised circuits.
The clock never stops. You start with time on it, and it counts down the whole run. Driving through the gates around the circuit buys more — but each gate pays less than the last, so you cannot farm them forever. Run out of time and the run ends where you are.
LAP RACE — three laps against five cars. Where you finish is the score. DRIFT — three laps where sliding fills a bank; the longer and wider you hold a slide the more it pays, and hitting anything ends the combo. OUTRUN — a police car hunts you; escape and you take the full pot, get stopped and you keep a fraction. PRACTICE — no rivals, no clock, no score. TOURNAMENT — four races, random circuit and mode each, and a clean sweep is the biggest payout here.
Going fast: brake before the corner, not in it, and get back on the throttle as it opens up. Tucking in behind another car gives you a tow — the only thing that pushes you past your own top speed.
